An expert in change management and a source of potential, Jean-Yves Mercier navigates with agility between the academic world and the private sector.

Former HR director of international groups, he is now CEO of Self-Leadership Lab and Director of the Executive MBA at the University of Geneva (top 10 European and top 30 worldwide according to AMBA, AACSB and ARWU).

Passionate about transmission, he has developed interactive and innovative teaching methods that allow everyone to become fully involved in their professional commitment.

Today, these methods are used in more than 15 countries.

A major educational innovation

The first foundations of the Self-Leadership program appeared in 1995, during Jean-Yves Mercier's doctorate. To develop the autonomy, initiative and responsibility of managers, new pedagogical postulates are being put forward. For 13 years, they will be validated by action.

Then, in 2008, the students of the MBA working at HEC Genève applied. Faced with a changing world, they become responsible for managing their careers themselves. And they don't know how. The research power of the University comes into play. The instructional video allows an iteration of individual questions and group coaching. The Self-Leadership program was born. Managers then ask to use the method in their company.

Since then, more than 2,000 people have benefited from it with a success rate of 92%.
